Dory is designed for both homes and professional spaces where information needs to be shared clearly and beautifully. In homes, it can be used to welcome guests or personalise spaces for celebrations and everyday moments.
In professional settings such as offices, hotels, healthcare, and rentals, Dory helps replace static signs and distracting screens with calm, wireless communication.

How it works
How do I display content on a screen with Dory?
You display content on Dory by using its app to create and send messages, images, or templates to the sign. The display updates wirelessly via Bluetooth and shows the content instantly.
How does Dory work?
Dory works by connecting an e-paper sign to a mobile app that lets you update content remotely. The sign only uses power when changing content, making it highly energy efficient.
Can I update Dory remotely?
Yes, Dory can be updated remotely through its app, allowing you to change content without physically accessing the sign.

Can I manage multiple signs with Dory?
Yes, Dory allows you to manage multiple signs from a single app, making it easy to update content across different locations. You can also control who has access to each sign and who can make updates remotely.
Can I reuse previous designs in Dory?
Yes, Dory keeps a history of your previous creations, so you can easily revisit, reuse, and update past designs. You can also manage access and allow other users to view or reuse designs from the same history.
Can I upload my own images?
Yes, you can upload your own images and customise the display using templates, text, and visuals in the app.
Can I use Dory outdoors?
Yes, Dory is IP44 certified to sustain rain, snow and extreme temperatures. It can be used outdoors when properly mounted and protected, making it suitable for entrances, events, and signage exposed to weather.
How does the dual mount work?
The DualMount can be fixed either with the included adhesive tape, or 1 or more screws (also included). There is also a small bubble level which can be placed in the centre area for ensuring the mount is level – especially important when you use the adhesive tape.
Note that the sign can be used either horizontally or vertically, also after the mount has been secured.
For added security, use the supplied screw to secure the sign to the mount.
Is the sign protected against theft?
Yes. The sign may be secured with the included security screw and Torx screwdriver.
In addition, the sign is connected and restricted to your personal user account as set up in the companion app (unless you give others permission).

What devices are supported?
Dory works with iOS and Android devices through its mobile app, which is used to manage and update the display.
Do I need special hardware?
No you do not need any special hardware. Each Dory comes with its e-ink display, standard charcoal frame, mounts and accessories.
We also sell other types of mounts and stands to accommodate all types of uses.
Is e-paper fragile?
E-paper displays are durable and designed for everyday use, though like any screen, they should be handled with care.
Is Dory sustainable?
Yes, Dory is designed to be sustainable, using ultra-low power and long-lasting hardware to reduce waste from static and disposable signs.
Where is Dory made?
Dory is based in Oslo, Norway, where both the product and app are designed and developed. The first batches will be assembled at our headquarters, but production will later move to Asia. The display units are sourced from E Ink, a company based in the USA and Taiwan.

What happens when the battery runs out?
If the battery runs out, Dory will continue to display the last image shown on the screen. The e-paper display only uses power when updating, so content remains visible even without a battery.
Dory’s batteries are designed for long-term use, lasting many years depending on usage. If you experience any issues, please contact us and we will help arrange a replacement.
What should I do if Dory isn’t working?
